Attorney at Law

I started Laureen Lane Law after passing the California State Bar in 2012. Born and raised in California, I felt compelled to become an Immigration Attorney seeing an enormous need for the work we do within my community.

My favorite thing about my job is that everyday I get to help reunite and keep families together; give people the opportunity to work, live and study in the United States; and assist all clients in pursuing their goals with the immigration options available to them.

As the Attorney, I personally work with every client and assess every case to help you expertly navigate your U.S. immigration journey. I hold a Law Degree from Cal Northern School of Law, and I am a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. In addition to running my own law office, I also work as a Certified Spanish Interpreter for the court system. I live in Chico and have three amazing adult children who live on the West Coast, in the South, and in the Rockies.

Fun fact:

"I've run several marathons, and I am currently doing a 100+ day running streak."

In my spare time:

"I enjoy paddle-boarding, biking, traveling, and visiting family."

Office Manager & Legal Assistant

Originally from Mexico, my experience going through the process myself makes it easy for me to empathize with clients, as I understand the challenges personally. My favorite part of my job is helping the immigrant community to navigate and understand the system and feel confident that, in our role, we always do everything we can to help them find a positive result.

I hold a Law Degree from Universidad de Colima, Mexico. I worked as an Attorney and Office Manager for a law firm in Colima for a number of years before moving to California. I now live with my husband in Red Bluff.

In my spare time:

"I like to bake, although sometimes it is stress-baking!"

Fun fact:

"I have two dogs, five cats, and a lot of chickens."

Remote Legal Assistant

My role in the office involves helping to prepare cases, compiling legal research, and working remotely. My favorite thing about working for Laureen Lane Law is that I get to help people whose goal is to reunite their family, study, or pursue their careers here in the United States.

I first started doing remote work for Laureen Lane Law while I was traveling and rock-climbing, and I now live with my wife in Telluride, Colorado.

Hidden talent:

"I brew kombucha, bake sourdough bread, and brew beer."
